Crișan Memorial House
The reconstructed house of Gheorghe Crișan, one of the leaders of the 1784–1785 peasant uprising.

The Crișan birth house stands in the village of Crișan (formerly Vaca), Ribița commune, in the north of the county. It is a historic monument (LMI code HD-IV-m-B-03491) and was rebuilt in 1979 from a photograph published by the historian Ioan Lupaș in 1934. This village was the birthplace of Gheorghe Crișan, one of the leaders of the 1784–1785 uprising of the Romanian peasants of Transylvania.
The building reproduces an early 18th-century peasant house: a stone foundation, two rooms and a pantry of timber logs, a porch with posts and arches, and a thatched roof. Inside are ethnographic pieces from the Ribița area — including the interior of a Moți house —, 18th-century bladed and firearms, and photo-documentary material about the uprising.
