Cândea Noble Court
The ruins of the seat of the Cândea knezes — the most powerful Romanian family in the Hațeg Country — in the middle of Râu de Mori.

In the centre of Râu de Mori stand the ruins of the Cândea family's noble court: the residence, the court chapel and the enclosure wall. The complex was built in the 14th century over the ruins of Roman buildings; the earliest known member of the family, Nicolae Cândea, lived around 1300.
By the end of the 15th century the Cândeas held 30 whole or partial villages in the Hațeg Country, and in 1447 John Hunyadi confirmed them in possession of the market town of Sântămăria-Orlea. The family later split into two branches, the Kendeffy and the Kenderessy. In the cemetery in front of the ruins stands the All Saints' Sunday Church, the Cândeas' former chapel.
