Mada Gorge
A 10 ha reserve in the south-east of the Metaliferi Mountains, on the Balșa valley, with scenic, botanical and speleological value.
The Mada Gorge lies in the south-eastern part of the Metaliferi Mountains, in Balșa commune, crossed by the waters of the Balșa valley. The reserve covers 10 ha and has scenic, botanical (endemic thermophilous species) and speleological (Jurassic limestone) value. The nearest town is Zlatna, in Alba County.
It is a nature reserve of national interest, IUCN category IV (mixed type), established in 1979 and declared in 2000. No access information is published.
