Parângul Mare Peak

2,519 m — the highest peak in the Parâng Mountains, reachable by the Petroșani chairlift plus a ridge trail.

Parângul Mare is the roof of the Parâng massif and a viewpoint over Retezat, Șureanu and the Jiu Valley. The chairlift from Petroșani goes up to the Parâng plateau, from where the ridge trail to the peak starts.
