Retezat National Park
Romania's oldest national park (1935), with over 80 glacial lakes.

Retezat was declared a national park in 1935, the oldest in the country. It holds Lake Bucura — Romania's largest glacial lake (2,030 m altitude) — and Peleaga Peak (2,509 m), the massif's highest point.
The core area is a strict scientific reserve; the ridge trails and those leading to the glacial lakes are among the most spectacular in the Carpathians.
That entry does not exist.
