Băcia
A commune on the Strei valley, known for Petru Groza's memorial house and grave, and for its old churches.

Băcia is a commune in Hunedoara County, at 225 m altitude on the Strei valley, made up of the villages of Băcia (the seat), Petreni, Tâmpa and Totia. Two important roads cross on its territory, symbolised on the coat of arms by Saint Andrew's cross.
Băcia has the Petru Groza memorial house and his grave. The village has Saint George the Great Martyr church (a listed monument), the Descent of the Holy Spirit church (1873–1876) and the Reformed church (1865). The commune's coat of arms recalls millstone working and marble slabs.
