A commune in the Metaliferi Mountains, with 18th-century wooden churches at Curechiu and Rovina.

Bucureșci is a commune in Hunedoara County, made up of 5 villages: Bucureșci, Curechiu, Merișor, Rovina and Șesuri.

Sights in the commune include the wooden churches of Saint Nicholas in Curechiu (18th c.) and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Rovina (1780), as well as the wayside cross in Curechiu (1784). The area also has the Natura 2000 site Metaliferi Mountains (Special Protection Area for birds).
