The Hunters' Festival returns to Nopcsa Castle: falconry, workshops and the “Retezat” art exhibition opening

Nopcsa Castle in Săcel (Sântămăria-Orlea commune) hosts the 2nd Hunters' Festival on Saturday, 17 October 2026. The programme starts at 10:00 and includes hunting demonstrations and contests, workshops for all ages, falconry, music, live caricatures and interactive experiences.

At 17:00 the 21st “RETEZAT” exhibition opens, the outcome of the “Retezat” Art Symposium. The organisers are the Hunedoara County Council, the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilisation Deva, the County Centre for Culture and Art and Sântămăria-Orlea City Hall.
