Hunedoara's Central Park is being renewed: 25,000 flowers and hundreds of trees
The EU-funded rehabilitation of the Central Park has reached the planting stage: over 25,000 perennials, 5,000 bulbs and hundreds of trees.

Hunedoara City Hall is continuing the rehabilitation and modernisation of the Central Park, carried out with European funding. According to mayor Dan Bobouțanu, over 25,000 flowers and perennials of 23 varieties are being planted these days, with more than 5,000 bulbs and over 100 shrubs to follow.
More than 130 trees were planted in the park this spring, and a new campaign covers about another 130 trees in the adjacent areas, near the CM and E blocks of flats. In total there will be over 250 trees in the park and surrounding areas, and the mayor says no healthy trees were cut. The works are carried out by a company specialised in landscaping.
