Citadel Park, Deva
The park at the foot of Deva Citadel — the starting point for the walking trails, the electric minibus and the cable car (currently out of service) up to the citadel plateau.

Parcul Cetății spreads at the base of the volcanic hill that Deva Citadel sits on, and is the starting point for several marked walking trails up to the citadel plateau, a climb of about 40 minutes, moderate difficulty, on gravel paths and steps.
The cable car (first built in 2003, modernised and reopened in March 2024) covers a 278 m route with a 158 m height difference, in 30-person cabins. It has been out of service since November 2025 because of technical faults, and restarting it depends on the approval of foreign experts (estimate: spring 2027). Until then, visitors walk up or take the 22-seat electric minibus, which operates generally daily between 09:00 and 18:00, with seasonal variations. Parking at the base of the hill is free.
That entry does not exist.
