Nucșoara Valley – Colț Fortress trail

Marked with a blue triangle, the trail climbs from the Nucșoara valley to Colț Fortress, the ruins of a medieval fortress built by the Romanian noble Cândea family in the 14th century, on a rock overlooking the village of Suseni.

At only an hour long, it's one of the few trails around Retezat also suitable for families with children.
