Râu de Mori – Retezat Peak trail

A long ascent from the south, starting in the village of Râu de Mori, straight up to Retezat Peak.

Marked with a red triangle, the trail climbs from Râu de Mori to Retezat Peak in 7–8 hours, on the massif's southern slope, quieter than the routes from Pietrele Hut.

It's a demanding alternative for those wanting to avoid the crowds in the northern part of the park.
