Câmpu lui Neag

Câmpu lui Neag is a village within Uricani town, in the southwestern part of Hunedoara County, at the foot of the Retezat Mountains, considered one of the gateways to Retezat National Park. The area preserves the traditions of the Momârlani, the long-settled mountain community of the Jiu Valley.

Access is from Petroșani or Târgu Jiu on road DN66A, via Vulcan – Lupeni – Uricani – Câmpu lui Neag, about 40 km. From here, numerous trails lead to lakes, gorges and peaks in the Retezat and Parâng mountains.
