Gorge
Bănița Gorge
A limestone gorge about 300 m long, with 10-15 m walls, crossed by the DN66 road and the Simeria–Petroșani railway.

The Bănița Gorge is a limestone gorge on the road between Petroșani and the rest of the county, right by Bolii Cave. The steep walls and the road/railway winding through the gorge make it one of the county's most spectacular routes, even seen from a car or train.
On foot, the route through the gorge partly follows the riverbed — proper footwear is recommended, as the water usually reaches ankle height, sometimes knee height.
That entry does not exist.
