Crivadia Gorge
A 10 ha reserve in the Grădiștea Muncelului-Cioclovina Natural Park, beside the ruins of the Crivadia Tower.

The Crivadia Gorge is a nationally protected area (IUCN category IV, mixed-type reserve) within the Grădiștea Muncelului-Cioclovina Natural Park, near the village of Crivadia in Bănița commune. The reserve covers 10 ha and stands out for its scenery and its rich, varied flora.
Sheltered by the steep walls of the gorge, on limestone, survives a true thermophilous “oasis” with many Dacian elements. Close by stands the medieval Crivadia Tower — its ruins appear in the accompanying photo — and the village also has the Gaura Oanei Cave.
