Lake Cinciș
A reservoir lake near Hunedoara, with beaches, fishing and one of Transylvania's largest artificial water surfaces.

Lake Cinciș is a reservoir lake formed on the Cerna river near the village of Teliucu Inferior, about 15 km from Hunedoara, after a dam was built there in the early 1960s to supply water to the steel works and the city. Covering around 867 ha with a maximum depth of 48 m, it is one of the largest artificial lakes in Transylvania.
The northern shore, lined with beaches, contrasts with the wooded, hilly southern shore. The area developed into a local resort, with campsites, motels and guesthouses, and the lake remains popular for fishing (carp, pike, amur, pike-perch, crucian carp) and swimming in the warm season (June–August).
