Iarului Valley

Valea Iarului is a mountain valley in the Câmpușel area, about 29 km from the town of Uricani, on the Retezat side of the mountains in the county's south-west. The area is relatively wild and sparsely populated, reached via several marked trails of moderate to difficult grade.

Camping Valea Iarului operates here, a glamping-style site with heated tents on wooden platforms, a popular stop for hikers before heading up to the ridges.
