Hărău
A quiet commune near Deva, with 16th–18th-century churches, carbonated mineral springs and the Castelul Maria Villa in Bănpotoc.

Hărău is a commune in Hunedoara County, in Transylvania, a few kilometres from Deva, along the Mureș corridor. It is made up of the villages of Hărău (the seat), Bănpotoc, Bârsău and Chimindia. It is a traditional village corner, well suited to a quiet getaway close to the city.
The villages keep a few old churches listed as historic monuments: Saint Nicholas Church in Bârsău, from the 16th century, Saint Demetrius Church in Hărău, from the 18th century, and Saint Paraskeva Church in Chimindia, from the 16th century. Chimindia and Bănpotoc have carbonated mineral water springs.
Bănpotoc is home to Castelul Maria Villa, a building designed as a small castle with a tower, set in a large garden, which welcomes guests for accommodation, a sauna and family events.
