Vața de Jos thermal baths (Vața Băi)
A thermal spa with 36–38 °C waters in the Crișul Alb valley, reopened after more than a decade of neglect.

The resort lies in Vața de Jos commune, in the Crișul Alb valley at the foot of the Zarand Mountains, about 19 km from Brad. Its thermal waters, used by a working spa since the mid-19th century, emerge at about 36–38 °C and contain calcium, sulphur, sodium and magnesium.
In the 1970s the complex was expanded into a treatment centre for locomotor and peripheral nervous system conditions. Closed and mothballed in 2010, it was bought by private investors and reopened more than a decade later, with thermal-water pools, accommodation and a treatment centre.
In the same commune, in the village of Vața de Sus, Father Arsenie Boca was born in 1910; he is buried at Prislop Monastery.
