Tunnels Trail

An easy-to-moderate themed trail near Vulcan, leading to the Devil's Cave and Waterfall.

Traseul Tunelelor (“the tunnels trail”) is one of five themed hiking trails set up in 2022 in the mountains near Vulcan, an initiative of the Pro Montana group, carried out by Vulcan Town Hall with support from Salvamont Hunedoara.

About 6 km long (3–4 hours round trip), easy to moderate in difficulty, the trail passes abandoned hydro-technical structures and leads to the Devil's Cave (Peștera Dracului), the Devil's Waterfall (Cascada Dracului) and the Baleia springs — it can be covered on foot, by bike or, in winter, on skis.
